Life's Golden Rule

When I was little, I learned about the Golden Rule: do unto others as you would have them do unto you. I can't preach this enough today. If you treat me like crap and take me for granted, why would you expect me to put you on a pedestal and let you do whatever you want without saying what I thought? Or if you don't give me the time of day when I'd like to enjoy your company and then if I'm doing something all of a sudden you want me to spend time with you and you get mad when I don't want to?!?!

I think a lot of people in this world would be happier if they apply that rule to life. And they would find that people will look at them different too. I know if you treat me with respect, I will do the same to you! So why not make it a goal to live by this rule? I'll get off my soapbox now. Goodnight and see ya on the flip side!
